March has been an incredible month. Y’all really showed up! This month, I read story after story of the amazing things happening in our community—people stepping up for each other, acts of kindness brightening lives, and local gems being recommended left and right. From restaurant and coffee shop favorites to moments of generosity that left me speechless, one thing is clear: this town knows how to take care of its own.
And today, I want to highlight one of those stories.
A local family of five has been struggling financially for quite some time. Life had already been challenging, and then they received some unexpected news—they were pregnant. A blessing, no doubt, but in their reality, it didn’t feel like one. All they could see was another mouth to feed, more expenses they couldn’t afford. The joy was buried under fear and uncertainty.
But here’s the thing about this community: we don’t let people sit in their fear alone. We show up.
A couple of families from their small group heard about their situation and quietly got to work. They gathered resources, made calls, and put together a care package. Inside, they placed thoughtful gifts—baby supplies, comfort items, and restaurant gift cards to take the pressure off meal planning for a bit. But at the very bottom of the package, hidden beneath it all, was a simple note that read: “You’re going to be okay.” Attached to it was a check for $3,000.
Can you imagine? The relief. The gratitude. The moment they realized they weren’t alone in this.
This is what Cloud Town does. We show up in the good times and in the moments that are heavy with fear and uncertainty. We remind each other that no one has to walk alone. We stand in the gap, offering not just words but tangible love and support.
To the families who made this happen—thank you for being the heart of this community. To the businesses and individuals who keep spreading kindness in big and small ways—keep going. And to anyone reading this who might be in a place of struggle—please know, we're here for you. You are not alone.
